CASK conducts personality development programme at Mount Carmel Central School

Mangaluru, Jul 4: Catholic Association of South Kanara (CASK) organized a personality development programme for the students of Class X on Thursday, July 4, at Mount Carmel School. The programme was conducted by Patsy Lobo and her team.

The resource person Bharathi Shevgur spoke about the importance of public speaking and how it will help students in their future en-devours. The students were asked to sit in groups and she guided them to ask random questions, highlighting the point, on how to respond when people raise questions.



Another member of the team Melora Pais spoke about social media. She gave awareness regarding Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms where most of the people have a habit of posting selfies instantly. She made the students aware of the threats and problems faced by people, especially girls, who indulge in such practices. She also made it clear how sexting is affecting the younger generation and how they are vulnerable to the crimes connected to it.

Dr Derick Lobo then spoke about the artificial intelligence and robotic mechanisms, which will affect the careers in India. The personality development programme, which will be spread throughout the year, will include a series of talks on different topics  to help the students, in view of enriching their personality along with the curricular activities. A total of 110 students of class X attended the programme.
