Mangaluru: MCCS's dream comes true with inauguration of parking lot

Mangaluru, Oct 5: Life will be a joyous journey until there are people of goodwill. The person talked about is none other than the former MLC, Ivan DSouza.

The auspicious moment of inaugurating the parking lot for the parents of Mount Carmel Central School commenced with a meaningful prayer service. The principal Sr Melissa welcomed the dignitaries and the audience with mixed emotions of satisfaction and gratitude. In her welcome speech, she expressed her joy to see the dream of the parents and the management becoming a reality.

The chief guest of the day, Ivan Dsouza along with sub-inspector of Kavoor, Prathibha K H, joint secretary Sr Maria Anita, Stany Alwares and PTA executive committee members inaugurated the 'dream project' of the school in the traditional way by opening the Pingara to its full bloom, which signifies abundance.






Stany Alvares, a parent and a well-wisher who personally saw to the fulfillment of this dream, briefed the gathering on the journey behind the interlocking of the parking lot. He thanked Ivan DSouza for the magnanimity shown in this project, for sanctioning the grant under MLC quota and getting the work done through the contractor Pius Monteiro.

A short and befitting felicitation programme was held. Ivan DSouza in his speech was gracious to point that the acknowledgment he received from the management was indeed heartwarming. He also appreciated the initiative taken by Stany Alvares. Sub-inspector of Kavoor, Prathibha K H was overwhelmed with the invitation extended by the school to be part of the programme, and assured her full support towards the safety of the school children. Jenita Lobo thanked everyone involved in this project. The programme was compered by Krithika.
