Kasargod, Oct 14: The bus services between Mangaluru and the town which had been suspended during the corona-related restrictions, have not resumed operations. Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) officials have said that they are ready to operate Mangaluru buses if there are at least 40 passengers in the morning and the evening.
The daily commuters need to visit the depot office of KSRTC here and register their names. But as of now, only three have registered their names. The officials said that they will resume operations if enough passengers are available. About 45 buses were operating on Mangaluru-Kasargod route earlier.

The officials are thinking of introducing buses to different destinations as the number of passengers is increasing Kasargod depot of KSRTC has 101 buses of which 45 are being run mostly on Talapady route, Some are also run to Kanhangad, Kannur, Bandadka, Pera, Panjikallu and other places. The KSRTC collection, which sharply fell to about Rs two lac per day from the average collection of Rs 13 lac before the COVID times, has now risen to Rs five lac per day.
