M’lore: Inter-collegiate Student Paper Presentation Contest Organized at SJEC

Mangalore, Apr 25:   An inter-collegiate student paper presentation competition was organized by the department of Electronics and Communication, St Joseph Engineering College here on Monday April 25.

Shahir Basheer, network consultant, Tech Mahindra, Bangalore was the chief guest for the occasion. Fr Valerian D’Souza, director of SJEC presided. Assistant director Fr Henry Mascarenhas and principal Dr Joseph Gonsalves were the guests of honour.The other dignitaries on the dais were Dr Rio D’Souza, Veena Devi V S and Prajwal D’Souza.

Prajwal D’Souza, the convener welcomed the gathering. Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Shahir stressed on the importance of improving not just technical knowledge but also the skills of presentation and delivery.

Fr Valerian D’Souza encouraged the students to take active part in such activities. The principal, Dr Joseph Gonsalves appreciated the efforts of the department in conducting the competition.

Fr Henry Mascarenhas honoured the chief guest with a memento and Veena Devi V S proposed the vote of thanks. Shovita Shettian compered the programme.
