Udupi, Oct 3: The state election commission has announced the time-table for elections for the membership positions in gram panchayats which have remained remained vacant for various reasons.
Elections will be held for one seat each at Kalthodu gram panchayat, Brahmavar taluk Yadthadi, Upooru gram panchayat and Mudarangadi gram panchayat.
The deputy commissioner will be releasing the notification on October 13. October 18 will be the last day for submitting nominations. October 21 will be the last day to withdraw them. Elections will be held on October 28 from 7 am to 5 pm at the taluk centres.
The election code of conduct will be in force in those gram panchayat limits from October 13 till October 31, a state election commission release said.
