Files on Congress, JD(S) Corruption Missing: Yeddyurappa

Bangalore, May 2 (IANS): Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa Monday said many files that would expose "irregularities" during the Congress and Janata Dal(Secular) rule in the state were missing from the secretariat.

Several files pertaining to the period when JD(S) leader H D Deve Gowda and his son H D Kumaraswamy were chief ministers have been moved to Gowda's house, the chief minister told reporters here.

Gowda was chief minister in 1994-96 and Kumaraswamy headed the JD(S)-BJP coalition in 2006-2008 when Yeddyurappa was his deputy.

The Congress ruled the state in 1999-2004.

"We have identified officials involved in this and will soon serve them notice (seeking explanation)," Yeddyurappa, who became BJP's first chief minister in the state in 2008, said.

He reiterated that illegal mining thrived under Congress and JD(S) rule in Karnataka and not after the BJP came to power.

    What a careless statement by a Chief Minister of a state? If some files are missing it shows how poor the administration of Yedyurappa is in Karnataka. Nothing is safe in Karnataka and not even the files.

    It is the high time that BJP should think seriousely to change this Chief Minister. People of Karnataka require more capable,honest persons like Suresh Kumar to head the state.

    Most of the times, files with corrupt record go missing, but some times, files with clean record of previous government may also go missing when corrupt people are in power.

    Yeddy believes in politics of hate which he thinks to counter corruptions of BJP regime in Karanataka past 3 plus years.Yeddy is fooling around the voters of Karanataka and he want to divert the attention of his corruptions.He wasted precious time of BJP rule by defending his sins and adamant with his policy which brought disrepute to Party and govt.

    The game is called Hide and Seek.. the difference is when BSY plays, it is our money that is involved...I wish I was a CM of the state..     We were asking repeatedly-why show some copies of documents in press conferences like opposition partiels,rather than take legal action, while all the documents & proofs are with u. Eureka Yeddi has just come with a new brain wave-"files missing".
    In a few days when his corruption cases come up for hearing once the stay gets vacated-he will say there are no files at all-& would blame the oppostion for the same.
    Some Insiders have said that all the files relating to land deals & revenue have been requisitioned by Yeddi so that nobody can get their copies through RTI.
    U can imagine who is taking us for a ride, this is why he needed to resign(to prevent destruction of all available evidence at his disposal).
