Mangaluru: Sports meet held at Prestige International School, PU College

Mangaluru, Nov 1: Prestige PU College solemnized its annual sports meet on Saturday, October 22.

The institution chairman Hyder Ali K, managing director Reshma Hyder, trustee Syed Faizal, CBSE principal Feroza Fayaz, PU principal Sindhu Sedhu and career guidance counsellor Shameer Ahmed, PU students and mentors, along with a special chief guest Sachin Suvarna, who is presently Karnataka Senior Kabaddi Captain – added a sparkle to ‘Prestige Annual Sports Meet’.

The day began with a grand march of welcoming the guest & dignitaries by the students followed with a prayer song by I science students, hoisting of Prestige flag, oath taking ceremony and inauguration with releasing of balloons –were mark of the day.

Guest of honour’s motivational speech followed with a stimulating and encouraging speech of the chairman Hyder Ali and principal Sindhu Sedhu were commendable. Vote of thanks with a felicitation to the chief guest Sachin Suvarna, by the dignitaries were culmination of the day. The day continued with top notch of prize distribution.

Later a series of group sports applauded the students. Inter class final Kabaddi, Cricket and football were the highlight of the day. Fun and frolic added when finals of girls laggori, boys and girls shot put followed with tug of war, wear the peak events.

The annual sports meet vesper with valedictory wave when our sport secretary Siham of II science handed over the Prestige flag to the principal in a word of honour to retrieve the next year in yet another annual sports meet.
