This is a big show and tell. No substance at all. Many officials involved in this operation eat in restaurants and drink in bars where underage children are working. How did news media came to know about this raid? That means this show was pre programmed to be media show. Mr Vincy from Bangkok said it very correctly. Cheers to you Vincy. Who is incharge minister of Ports and fisheries? He should be arrested for allowing this operation to carry on under his authority.
Some time back I called Child welfare department to inform them about children around Concrete mixer,Cement and very dangerous operation of Concretising of road. The main contractor was KBC whose engineers were supervising the job near Bunts Hostel. They should have been arrested for allowing this to happen. Lady officer of Child welfare dept. answered me saying that if Child's parents are around,Child welfare dept. cannot do anything. Is there a meaning in it.
In todays operation, parents were present and how in world this raid was conducted. My thought is that some one did not bribe enough or did not bribe at all. It all boils down to who is involved and how much money is involved. All Fake show for publicity.

A team of labour department officials, accompanied by the officials of eleven departments including education, police, health, factory, social welfare, Mangalore City Corporation and women and child welfare, conducted a surprise raid at the fishing port dock near Bunder in the city . YOU KNOW WHAT IS MISSING HERE IS THE BAJARANG DAL ARMY.This is totally a cruel act.First you raid them, then parade them in the name of saving them, then call thier parents to identify them.

Can you imagine what is going on in their innocent mind?.There should be some measures followed while undertaking these kind of raids. The authorities simply expose the to police, camera and the media and nobody is interested to know what is the rights of a child. These children can sue all these people in the pictue if you provide them a proper platform.

Not a big achievement at all. Child labor is in practice almost in every Restaurants and Beer Bars in Mangalore. It is heartening to see little boys working as table boys and waiters in Restaurants waiting in a corner, sadly watching children of their age feasting on delicious food alongwith their parents. When, who and how could this child labor problem be solved ? If only the state money looted by Politicians be used for the welfare of these unfortunate childrens, the child labor problem could easily be eradicated. Instead of donating crores of rupees to Temples/Churches/Mosques, if same amout or even part of it be used for the welfare of these living Gods, the invisible God will be more pleased.
