Bantwal, Nov 8: Abdul Samad, a young resident of Bolantoor village, who was reported missing was said to have been used for illegal activities by another youth of the same grama before murdering him and throwing the body down a hill. The mortal remains have not been traced yet.
The family members of Samad had lodged a missing complaint regarding Samad at Vittal police station. Meanwhile, Abdul Rehman had escorted Samad to Muloorpadav hill, Ira site and murdered him on the first day of his reported disappearance. Abdul Rehman had escorted another of his friend to the hill on the next day and informed him that he had murdered Samad. As the news spread, Abdul Rehman burned the body of Samad and threw it down the hill.
Police investigations have revealed the picture of the whole case.
Bantwal rural police and Vittal police have registered a case and are investigating. Police had conducted an operation to retrieve the body on Tuesday, November 8 but they had to abandon the seach as it became dark and postponed it for the next day.
