Beltangady: Anugraha Educational Institutions holds Annual Sports meet

Beltangady, Nov 23: The Anuual Sports meet of Anugraha Educational Institutions was held on November 22. The chief guest Rakshith Shivaram, founder of ‘The Best Foundation’ Belthangady hoisted the sports flag and inaugurated the sports meet. There was an attractive march past by the four squads and there was a display of Band drill. Another highlight of the day was lighting of sports torch, which was carried by the sports champions of the school.

Rosa Joy of VII std was honoured, for being selected to the National level Foot Ball team. Other state level participants were also honoured. The chief guest Rakshith Shivaram addressed the gathering emphasizing the prominence of education and sports in student life. The winners were awarded with certificates and medals. The best march past teams received prizes. The principal Fr Vijay Lobo welcomed the gathering. The correspondent Fr James D souza presided over the programme.

Antony Fernandes, vice president of PPC, members of the management committee, Ananda Krishna vice president of the PTA, members of the executive committee of PTA, Ravi Kumar, headmaster of the primary section were present on the stage.

The programme came to an end with vote of thanks by Libin, Prabhakar Shetty compered the programme. The sports events were concluded with the closing ceremony.

Kruthi U S, Ananya Rose, Mohammad Rihan, Pancham, H A Panchami and Rosa Joy, Anna Merin and Ajay Christopher emerged as champions.
