Teachers here are very very dedicated in shaping and nurturing the goals of every students."
Paradise, annual day celebrations of primary section was inaugurated by Col (Dr) F E Arthur Rodrigues, Indian army veteran. In his address to the gathering he said, “In most of the cases parents decide about their children and what they want to study. Parents want their child to be either doctor, engineer or commerce professional. There are very few takers for other courses. Parents should not think that medicine, engineering and chartered accountants is the only profession in this world, there are many professions and anyone can achieve success in any of the professions. Don’t force your children. When children are forced to pursue a course against their wishes children take unnecessary tensions to complete the course and this stress of meeting the expectations of family and friends and parents leads to depression. This depression leads to young people committing suicide. We need to teach our children to face failures and to rise above from failures. They should be taught to respect their body and the body of others”.
Dr Lydia S Andrade and Col (Dr) F E Arthur Rodrigues were honored on the occasion by the school administration.
Fr Charles Menezes, correspondent presided over the function. In his message he said, “Children are true to what they are doing. We need to accept them as they are and we need to give them more prominence. What they will be tomorrow will be seen today herein. They exhibit what they are. Every student has a unique quality. When we respect our children then we are going to reap good results. There’s not the marks and grade that counts but the wholesome growth that they have taken place is what matters. As parents we sacrifice a lot, when our children become successful we become happy”.
