Mangaluru, Dec 15: It seems Congress has gone for Vastu belief in order to win as many seats as possible in the next assembly elections.

The number of steps of district Congress Bhavan at Mallikatte are increased from eight to nine. Party sources say that the steps were increased as per a Vastu expert’s suggestion.

The Congress which is frustrated by losing seven out of eight assembly seats of 2018 elections, is trying to rectify even the smallest of errors. As a part of this, the steps of the district Congress office are changed from even numbers to odd as per the information given by a party leader.

The Congress leader said, “Priyadarshini Trust is maintaining this building. As per Vastu, even number of steps are not auspicious for any building. The party will not lose anything by changing the number of steps. If this small change augurs well for the party, why should it not be done? Was the question raised by some in the committee? That is why this decision was arrived at.”

On the contrary, Harish Kumar, Dakshina Kannada district Congress committee said, “There is no Vastu Dosha or anything of that sort. Do we not have the freedom to get the building repaired as we wish?”
