Mangaluru: Carmel School celebrates Christmas

Mangaluru, Dec 24: Carmel School celebrated the feast of Christmas in the School Auditorium. The programme by the students of 1 A, B, C and 9C commenced with meaningful prayer service, imploring divine Blessings on all the children.The gathering was welcomed through a scintillating dance.

The students performed a skit that displayed the value on 'sharing is caring'. Further, uplifting the theme of Christmas, the students tapped their feet to the tune of jingle bells.

The birth of Christ and his life was beautifully enacted through dance drama. Melodious Christmas carols filled the hearts and minds of the audience with joy and spirit of Christmas.

On the auspicious day the peace and love of Christ was shared with the sanitation workers of Mangalore City Corporation, who render their tireless service to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the campus. Shilas Sampath, Asha Gowri extended a cordial welcome to the guests followed by the entertainment dance. Deepthi articulated words of appreciation and thanks to the revered guests.

The sanitation workers Lingappa, Neelamma, Bheemappa, Dilip Shetty and Michael were felicitated with a shawl, flower pot,bowl of fruits and a memento by Sr Sarika, the principal, Sr Violette, the administrator and Sr Preena, the vice principal.

Our students Jane Jaden and Janice handed over their loving contribution to the sanitation workers.

Sr Sarika, the principal in her message called upon the students to manifest the love of Christ in their own way towards the fellow beings. The throw ball team of the School won in AICS sports meet were honoured and handed over the trophy by Sr Sarika the principal.

The classes who displayed the best on the class bulletin boards were awarded with prizes. Amna of class 9C proposed the vote of thanks. Riyana and Dhanishka of 9C compered the programme.
