Mangaluru: One more arrested in Jaleel murder case

Mangaluru Dec 27: One more person was arrested in connection to the murder of Jaleel on Tuesday December 27.

The arrested is identified as Lakshmish Devadiga (28) from Katipalla. So far, four arrests have been made in the murder case.

Earlier, three persons Shailesh Poojary (21) from Krishnapura, Savin Kanchan (24) from Hejamady and Pavan (23) from Katipalla were arrested. Shailesh and Savin are also the accused in Pinky Nawaz murder attempt case who is the prime accused of the 2018 Deepak Rao murder case.

It may be recalled, Jaleel, a fancy store owner, was murdered on December 24 at Surathkal near his shop.

    Jaleel had multiple cases against him for molestation and eve teasing. He was also warned and bashed by his own community people several times. Every one in the locality knows this. That is why there is no much protest. In any case this cannot be justified for murder. Severe punishment should be given to these culprits as well.

    RIP Jaleel... Again same story same cinema after few weeks culprits may roam freely and repeat the same scene. No one can stop such inhumane act. Why the police bullets stopped working in Coastal belt or Mr. Harsha , former commissioner had taken all the powers with him..? If the accused are from minority then the scene will be different @ atleast some of the lifes lost in the name of police encounter. In the name of politics my place is becoming a black spot in Indias map.

    dear Anil miya....i am not supporting the act...just imagine if jaleel was doing the same to your family members....how do you feel? sometimes junglee raj seems the true option....as the police does not care or law is not able to put him behind bars because of lack of evidence etc...you might be knowing that in Andhra pradesh the pride of zamindars who used to treat labourers worst than dogs was brought down to earth by naxalites who eliminated few of them...hope you got the point...
