Udupi: Department of Atomic, Molecular Physics MAHE to hold 3- day international conference

Udupi, Dec 27: The Department of Atomic and Molecular Physics, MAHE, Manipal is organizing a three day international conference during December 28- 30.

This department is conducting graduate, post graduate and doctoral programs on Photonics, and nanoscience and technology. The research output of this department is internationally recognized.


The conference will be inaugurated by lt gen (Dr) M D Venkatesh, vice chancellor, MAHE, Manipal at 8.45 am. The overview of the conference will be presented by Dr T Lazar Mathew, senior advisor.

Internationally well-known experts such as Ammasi Periasamy (USA), Shean-Jen Chen (Taiwan), Gin Jose (UK), Valery Tuchin (Russia), Yury V Kistenev (Russia), Ajayan Pulickel (US), Sudesh Sivarasu (South Africa), Simona Badilescu (Canada) and national leaders like G K Ananthasuresh, G U Kulkarni, T Pradeep, and Joseph Mathew will be delivering keynote address and plenary lectures in the conference. More than 150 participants have registered for the conference from all over the country.

The conference is expected to enthuse the younger generation to undertake serious research in the field of photonics, biophotonics, nanophotonics, nanobiophotonics and nanoscience and nanotechnology. In addition, translation research leading to development of medical devices as a tribute to make in India program will be also achieved.
