I wish a Happy New year to all Daijiworld readers and our Police Commissioner. The present Police Commissioner has conquered the hearts of Mangaloreans and I presume people who disagree are unaware of his qualities.

Police Commissioner says "no one should be seen roaming after 1230am". Is it curfew after that? Section 144? Are we a democratic country or banana republic...

Mangalore is one of the highly educated & economically empowered secular thinking community/society when it comes to celebration..., The perceived threat by Jokara Gang could be well handled/managed by ensuring supply of Thotte at their place with some spicy items...!!!!, rest is well assured that everything will be in order & totally peaceful... (it is highly advisable for ladies & couple's be extra vigil & must take care of themselves ) from perverts(could educated/less educated or uneducated..). Having said that at organized celebration venues bouncers will be there to care & ensure perverts get Vanara treatment...,

Banning alcohol is counterproductive as tipplers will buy in advance or even in black! Even in the state where alcohol is totally bañned, it flows freely if you can pay the premium; it's only the poor tippler who dies after drinking cheap chemical Hooch!
