Kasargod, Dec 31: A 3-year-old child died after being hit by a private bus in Jerkala on Saturday, December 31 in the evening.
The deceased child is Abdul Wahid, son of Aashik and Zubeida, residents of Seethamgoli.
The mother Zubeida who was with the child was injured in the accident. This accident occurred when the toddler was walking with his mother and the bus was taking a reverse at the Jerkala bus station.
Although the child was immediately rushed to the hospital Wahid had already died.
The deceased child has been kept in the mortuary of the Kasargod General Hospital where an autopsy will be conducted before handing over his mortal remains.
