Daijiworld Media Network – Kasargod (MS)

Kasargod, Jan 10: Police have detected in their preliminary investigation that the death of Anjushree (19), a resident of Perumbala Benur and second BCom student of Manjeshwar government college was due to consuming poison.

It was said that she died due to food poisoning after eating the food ordered online from an eatery in the city. However, police have informed that Anjushree must have consumed poison as her friend Vipin Raj, a resident of Bendicchal Mandalipara died recently because of ill health. It is said that information on Vipin Raj was found on the mobile phone of deceased Anjushree.

Anjushree died on January 7. Investigation is done under the leadership of Bekal DySP C K Sunil Kumar. The police have taken statements from family members, relatives and friends of Anjushree. Meanwhile, the police have also got a letter, said to be written by Anjushree and investigation of that letter is also in progress. Forensic report will be available in a day or two which will confirm the kind of poison that was consumed by Anjushree.

It is said that her friend Vipin Raj died of cancer. Anjushree consumed poison 41 days after the death of Vipin Raj. Their houses are 15 km apart. Vipin Raj studied ITI at Vidyanagara and it is not clear how both got acquainted.
