Kasargod, Jan 9: The death case of Anjushree, student of Manjeshwar Govind Pai memorial college, has got a twist. The police are suspecting that Anjushree killed herself. They have confiscated the mobile phone and the letter said to be written by the deceased.
Earlier, it was said that the girl died because of food poisoning. However, the preliminary post mortem report said that the death did not occur due to food poisoning. Hence, the police started investigating in a different angle. The report also said that poison was found in her body. The doctor who did the post mortem also gave a clue that the deceased had consumed poison in addition to stalling of the functioning of the intestine and jaundice. The internal organs are sent to forensic test. Only after the forensic report arrives, a clear picture will emerge.
Anjushree and her family had procured food through Kuzhimandi online service on December 31. Anjushree had fallen ill on the same day night and was treated in a nearby hospital. After five days, her condition turned critical and was taken to private hospital in Mangaluru. She died on January 7. The trade licence of the hotel from where the food was ordered was cancelled by the food safety officers and a case was registered.
It is said that Anjushree has written that she is killing herself due to mental pressure in the letter that was found at her home. However, due to the sensitivity of investigation, the police have not divulged other details.

Kasargod, Jan 9: The preliminary report of post-mortem of Anjushree (19), daughter of Ambika and student of Manjeshwar Govind Pai memorial government college, said that food poisoning is not the reason for her death. The report says that intestine stopped working and she was affected by jaundice also. For more investigation her internal parts are sent for chemical examination.
At the same time, the report also says that poison was found in the body of Anjushree. However, according to the opinion of the forensic surgeon, the poison is not of food. The report says that the poison stopped the intestine from functioning.
Anjushree had died in a hospital in Mangaluru on Saturday, January 7 morning. She and her family members fell sick after consuming food that was ordered from a hotel on December 31. It was suspected that Anjushree died of food poisoning. Police had arrested three people including the owner of the hotel.
In the meantime, 13 students and teacher of Pattanamthitta Chandanapalli Rose Dale School were admitted to hospital for food poisoning. They had consumed Chicken biriyani, which was served on account of school day. The hotel owner said that the school distributed the biriyani that was delivered at 11 am to the students in the evening. All students and teacher who ate the biriyani did not show any signs of illness on the same day. They all fell sick on the following day. They are admitted to three different hospitals in Pattanamthitta.
