Udupi: 2500 kl more kerosene allocated to fishermen by centre - Shobha Karandlaje

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (MS)

Udupi, Jan 12: “The petroleum ministry had released 5472 kl of kerosene for traditional boat fishermen of Karnataka for the year 2022-23. Accordingly, it was released two phases of 2472 kl and 3000 kl. Now the ministry has released an additional 2500 kl of kerosene for the traditional fishermen,” said Shobha Karandlaje, union minister for agriculture and farmer welfare and MP of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency.

Shobha further said, “In total, the coastal districts traditional boat fishermen have got 7972 kl of kerosene in 2022-23. The union government has responded to the needs of coastal Karnataka fishermen as and when their need arose. An appeal was made to the union petroleum minister in this regard. I appraised the minister of the dependence of many fishermen families of coastal regions on the traditional boat fishing.

“Accordingly, union minister for petroleum Hardeep Singh Puri responded to my appeal and fulfilled the demand of traditional boat fishermen of the coastal region. I extend my gratitude to Hardeep Singh Puri and PM Modi on behalf of the entire fishermen community of coastal Karnataka,” she said.

When will Congress in Udupi have an able candidate to dethrone Shobakka? The sad part is people who joined Congress at the same time or even before Shobakka joined BJP are just sloganeers and Phamplet bearers. YOu can call them foot soldiers ,shouting their lungs out while campaigning. Its sad when your hear all this. Come elections, you see the Chelas of politicians getting preferences even if they are not know beyond their ward. How can you even give a tough fight. Blame EVMS and then make them happy. This is my candid view.
