Mangaluru: Man duped of Rs 99,860 while booking travel tickets online

Mangaluru, Jan 13: A case is filed in CEN police station of the city in which a person who booked ticket on Yathra.com website and lost Rs 99,860.

According to details, the person booked the ticket on January 8 by paying Rs 6,380. As he did not get the ticket, he called the company and asked them to return his money. The person who received the call asked for the last six digits of the account number and said that the amount will be deposited in two days.

The complainant received a message from his bank that Rs 99,860 is transferred from his account to some other account on January 11. Then the complainant came to know that someone has fleeced the money.

The victim filed complaint with bank as well as CEN police.
