Mangaluru: Ganja peddling, consuming case – Nine more arrested

Mangaluru, Jan 21: Nine more including medical students and doctors from private medical college were arrested in connection to ganja peddling and consuming.

The arrested are identified as Dr Vidush Kumar (27) and Dr Ish Midda (27) from Uttar Pradesh, Dr Siddartha Pavaskar (29) and Dr Sudheendra (34) from Karnataka, Dr Suryajith Dev (20) and Dr Aysha Mohammed (23) from Kerala, Dr Pranay Natraj (24) and Dr Chaithanya R Tumuluri (23) from Telangana and Dr Sharanya (23) from Delhi. The arrested are pursuing their MBBS, MBBS MS, and internship in BDS and MBBS.

The total number of arrests moves to 24 in the case.

    Why is it that only medical college students/doctors are getting targeted as if other stream professional colleges are sacrosanct?? It's a well-known fact that Mangalore and surrounding area students are big consumers of various types of drugs since decades!

    Why dont they catch all the mainstream criminals out on the streets like rapists and murderers? Piling up false accusations on more innocent people just to further their agenda. Cant help but feel bad for people caught in the line of fire and undue stress from higher ups to meet a certain case arrest number especially during election time

    Thanks lord our enforcement agencies are keeping watch main route of incoming consignments of drugs either by road, sea or by air. Still people are become so cleverer in illegal activities are trying new new ways to drop consignments even thru drone in many places or thru in luggage of diplomatic people.
