Mangaluru: SJEC's cadet captain Prashanth P Koti shines at Republic Day Camp 2023

Mangaluru, Jan 30: Cadet captain Prashanth P Koti represented Karnataka & Goa at the Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2023, Delhi. He is a NCC cadet of 6 KAR Naval NCC Unit, Udupi and a third year student of Electronics & Communication Engineering at St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor. He is the first batch cadet of 6 KAR Naval NCC subunit of the college.

He was one among the three cadets selected for RDC from all over Karnataka & Goa Directorate in Ship Modelling.

A total of 17 Directorates across India took part in Ship modelling competition. CC Prashanth and his team built powered ship model (INS TRIKAND) within 48 hours. He is the recipient of the following awards:

1. Winner of Gold medal in Powered Ship Model

2. Winner of Gold medal in VIP Model

3. Awarded Admiral Nanda Trophy also known as Silver Ship for their excellent performance in ship modelling for Karnataka & Goa Directorate. The Silver ship award is bagged first time in the history by the Directorate.

The management, staff and students of SJEC congratulated Cadet Captain Prashanth P Koti on his exceptionally outstanding achievement at RDC 2023.
