Mangaluru: Fish tempo overturns, minor injuries to driver

Mangaluru, Feb 5: A tempo carrying fish overturned at Kallapu near Thokkottu after its driver lost control of the vehicle on Sunday, February 5 morning.

Driver of the tempo Sadiq escaped with minor injuries.

The tempo was transporting fish from a fishing port in city to Ullal Fish Meal factory.

A tyre of the tempo bursted due to which the driver could not control the vehicle and it overturned.

Traffic was affected for quite some time. The south traffic police were removing the tempo from the road when reports last came in.

    They could seperate the small fish and throw back into sea instead of collecting it and giving to fish meal Factory.A lot of small fish we see here .

    It's sad that no were in Mangalore or it's surrounding, speed control radars have been installed and it's the main reason why many road accidents take place. Traffic accidents can be avoided if the department penalize over speeding vehicle without mercy.

    Load is not secured .simply overloaded ,or one kept over the other .High speed too.So now free fish to everybody.No Police to control them about over weight or their speed?Or is allowed everything when a blue note exchanges the driver and police?
