Mangaluru: Union Budget 2022-23 is futuristic, visionary - MP Tejasvi Surya

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (DV)

Mangaluru, Feb 5:   "The union government's budget 2022-2023 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman is futuristic for the economic development of the nation for the next 25 years. It is an outline drawn with a vision for the future development of the economy of the country. In the past nine years of Modi's government, the Indian economy has increased in size from being 10th largest to 5th largest economy in the world. The budget will impact the present and future growth of the Indian economy," said MP and National president of BJP Yuva Morcha Tejasvi Surya.

He was speaking at a programme on the analysis of the Union Budget 2023  organised by the Dakshina Kannada BJP economic cell here on Sunday, February 5.

He also said various governments that came to power after Independence had failed to provide a concrete foundation for the economic development of the country. But, Narendra Modi's government has in two terms worked for the development of the economy.

He also added that the per capita income of the country has doubled from what it was in 2014 up to 2023.

According to IMF projections, India has overtaken the UK to become the world's fifth-largest economy in the world. Decades ago, India was ranked 11th among the large economies, he said.

Slamming the Congress party, Tejasvi Surya said the opposition Congress in their Bharat Jodo Yatra had charged that BJP has failed to create employment and as a result youths are suffering due to unemployment. But, in reality, he said Congress is thinking of its own political unemployment.

He also said that EPF registration has increased during Modi's tenure. The new registration has risen to 27 crores over the last 8.5 years. The government has also focused its attention on development, he said, adding that the Centre is focused on real time intelligence even in the agriculture sector. The per capita income has more than doubled to 1.97 lakh, he said.

Modi government has proposed to start 157 medical colleges and now it has the vision to establish attached nursing colleges to these medical colleges. This is not a populist but a visionary budget for the country’s economy, Tejasvi Surya said.

BJP district president Sudarshan Moodbidri, C A Shantharam Shetty, and other dignitaries were present.

Tejaswi is our bright young MP and he's quite focussed to deliver well. However there are lot of evil eyes and unnecessary venom being spewed on him, but he will not deter.

Hallo! Hallo! Are you a FN expert? No? Then what? We don't want your analysis which generalises like ' Futuristic.. Visionary etc! We had enough. Give us something so that we can live in Present. No nonsensical analysis Our CA will tell, where the holes have been dug. Why are you bent on giving an Emergency Exit to the concerned? Who told you? Be careful while issuing statements henceforth. You have been found wanting. In fact the likes of you are there only because of PM Modi and lack of opposition. Pandavas GST etc. Got it?

If you say so, I have no reason to believe otherwise. However, it begs a question, if a consumer (2W, 3W or 4Wheeler) buys EV, 0% incentive on registration and road tax is offered in Karnataka, but Kerala, TN and Maharashtra provide 100% exemption on road tax and registration, why? Where is the development agenda and climate compassion which even Gujarat gives? Why does it stop at the borders of Karnataka while GOI is advocating such exemptions in aid of adopting EV?
