Mangaluru: City police collect Rs 6.12 lacs in 2 days after 50 percent discount on traffic fines

Mangaluru Feb 5: After the government announced 50% discount on traffic violation fines, the Mangaluru City Police commissionerate collected Rs 4.69 lacs from 1929 cases on February 4 and Rs 1,43,250 from 552 cases on February 5.

Traffic East PS - Rs 88,100 from 319 cases
Traffic West PS - Rs 92,950 from 375 cases
Traffic North PS - Rs 79,750 from 384 cases
Traffic South PS - Rs 15, 8300 from 654 cases
ACP Traffic - Rs 8,450 from 36 cases
Mangaluru One - Rs 41,500 from 161 cases

Traffic East PS - Rs 31,600 from 145 cases
Traffic West PS - Rs 10,500 from 42 cases
Traffic North PS - Rs 18,150 from 74 cases
Traffic South PS - Rs 58,600 from 201 cases
Mangaluru One - Rs 23,600 from 89 cases

In the last two days, the total fine collected is Rs 6,12,250 lacs in 2,481 cases of traffic violations, while on the spot fine collected on February 5 was Rs 28,400 in 66 cases.
