Kerala woman threatens to bomb Bengaluru airport, arrested

Bengaluru, Feb 6 (IANS): Karnataka Police have arrested a woman from Kerala, who threatened to explode a bomb at the Bengaluru International Airport while arguing with the authorities regarding delay to board the flight, police said on Monday.

The incident had come to light lately and the court has handed her over the woman to judicial custody for 11 days. The accused has been identified as 31-year-old Manasi Satheebainu from Kozhikode in Kerala.

According to police, the incident took place on February 3 and came to light lately. The accused woman was supposed to travel from Bengaluru to Kolkata. She had booked a ticket on the 6E445 Indigo flight and had arrived at the airport for the journey.

She had started an argument while checking near gate number six with the staff of the airport. She had threatened that if she was not allowed to go inside immediately, she would plant the bomb and explode the airport.

The accused woman also created a ruckus as she shouted that a bomb has been planted at the airport and the passengers must return to save their lives. The security staff took her into custody and handed over to the police.

Sandeep Singh, a CISF official, lodged a complaint against the accused woman under IPC Sections 505, 323 and 353.

I don't believe this incident really happened....possibly Airport security made this up to punish a rude passenger...need to hear both sides before coming to a conclusion... No sane person will threaten airport security with bomb scare....so this woman either a mental patient or Airport security cooked up a story to punish this woman for reasons best known to them only... ...Tak...Takk...

There is a serious problem in our country regarding quality customer service for air travellers compared to other countries. So many complaints, unpleasant incidents, rude behaviours and unprofessional service are only increasing. It’s govt’s responsibility to step in and improve the image of our airline industry. But govt is interested only in extorting 40% from airlines and clean chit to favourites ignoring the rest then what one can expect. Even UK PM Sunak was fined for traffic violation.

all airlines have rules be it worst indigo or royal Etihad but it does not mean that if am not obeying the security protocol then i shall blow up whole airport. airlines take these issues seriously. remember a dutch girl who tweeted American airlines via twitter that there is a bomb in aircraft for fun she was arrested by Interpol in a heartbeat right from her home.

bala mangalore ,sometimes things happen which are not in our hands .But no need to shout and make big palawa. It will not be also better .Did any bomb explode? Now with her she couldnt travel first, second has a case on her. Most probably her next travelling by air ,I think must give off.One should simply wait and travel as others do.She must be a bit mentally disturbed one.
