State BJP targets Rahul Gandhi over HAL criticism, demands apology

Bengaluru, Feb 7 (IANS): The ruling BJP in Karnataka has targeted senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for criticising the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and alleging that it has weakened under the Modi government.

The issue has resulted in a political crossfire between the Congress and BJP.

In a series of tweets late Monday, the state's Health Minister K. Sudhakar said: "The HAL, which was nurtured by Maharaja of Mysore Shri Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar, is a pride of Karnataka and an invaluable jewel of India.

"In the run up to 2019 Lok Sabha elections Rahul Gandhi made baseless allegations that PM Narendra Modi Govt is weakening HAL.

"Today, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the HAL's helicopter factory in Gubbi, Karnataka, which will be Asia's largest chopper manufacturing unit. The unit intends to manufacture over 1,000 helicopters with a projected business value of Rs 4 lakh crore over the next 20 years.

"This will enable India to meet its entire requirement of helicopters without import and gives fillip to Prime Minister's vision of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' in helicopter design, development and manufacturing.

"Will Rahul Gandhi and Congress now apologise for misleading the nation on HAL, which is growing leaps and bounds and scaling new heights under PM Narendra Modi Govt?"

Meanwhile, Opposition leader Siddaramaiah said that Prime Minister Modi is visiting Karnataka only to inaugurate works done by the Congress government in the state.

"HAL Helicopter Manufacturing Unit in Gubbi taluk in Tumakuru district is proposed and ground work done during the tenure of the UPA government. Now, Modi is inaugurating it," he said.

A year before 2019 LS elections, Rahul Gandhi was shouting Ambani, Ambani, Ambani & linked Modi's Rafale purchase with Ambani declaring Chowkidaar Chor hai. Addressing HAL workers, he lied about HAL being bypassed to favor of Ambani. Rafale production was ultimately successfully bypassed to favor much larger Tejas production at HAL. People in India, however, were much wiser. They understood his mind & handed Congress one of its worst electoral defeat with less than 10% of mandatory Lok Sabha seats making Rahul Gandhi unfit to hold even the Leader of Opposition status in the parliament. On the eve of 2024 elections Rahul Gandhi, in his new Avtaar, is now shouting Adani, Adani, Adani, linking him to Modi & perhaps he will meet the same fate again.

You will as always be left with some internet lions with fake ids, blaming EVMs and showcasing you as the 2029 PM Candidate.

Still recollect Raul called up all HAL employees who were sympathisers of his party to Cubbon Park during the 2019 LS polls and tried hard to spread fake narrative on Rafale and shutting down of HAL by Modi. Yet we all know what happened!

Targetting and abusing Modi for each and everything is really balling the Congress big time. To this day its not clear what Congress can realistically offer. God know when the grand old party will learn. The party really needs to change 'safe constituency ' options for its leaders or candidates, to ensure they dont take anything for granted.

Congress government negotiated its percentage for 11 years with Raffle but could not agree, the final figure, unfortunately they lost power in 2014 and lost the balance amount of commission due to Gandhi and Vadra family.Midi finalised the deal without any commission, snd ensured that the resdy to fly planes were deluvered at a lower price with better specification. For your information all 36 planes are in combat status

RG should have at least some political decency. He must learn how to make comments and how to give reports in public/press as he has no knowledge about this subject, may be he is hence 'pappu' !! Mr.Modi has no reason or no fear for Mr.RG as Mr.RG is a just a child in his political career and only due to dynasty influence and this will not take him far. People understood what is what and he is not required to lead our Nation.

Whom to believe is the biggest question in politics.... Somebody does the work, somebody inaugurates it... Somebody acts for CD and wants case about CD.... One thing is certain... Bajapa has much better publicity department than congi.... Now after 8 years in power money muscle too... HAL has nothing to do with politics... Why are we forgetting the firm's management and workers who are solely responsible for the progress of the company???...
