Mangaluru: Two gangs fight in road rage dispute, complaints filed

Mangaluru, Feb 9: Two gangs got involved in public fistfight near Ganeshpura circle, Katipalla at around 8.45 pm on Wednesday February 8 over the issue of collision between a car and bike. Both have filed separate complaints in Surathkal police station.

According to one FIR, filed by complainant Nagesh Devadiga (45), a resident of Katipalla, he was going towards Mangalapete on his bike. As he reached Ganeshpura circle, a car driver drove in a negligent manner and collided with the bike. Nagesh Devadiga fell on the road due to the impact.

Driver of the car Adil Meharoof (24) abused the bike rider and complainant Nagesh Devadiga and he along with his father Ummer Farukh, Abdul Hamid, father in law Ummer Faruk beat Nagesh on his face, back and kicked him with legs and threatened to kill him.

In a counter complaint filed by Adil Meharoof, the driver of the car and resident of Mangalapete, he was going towards Ullal from Katipalla. As he reached Ganeshpura Circle, bike rider Nagesh Devadiga intentionally hit his bike against the car and fell on the road. In the meantime, accused Preetham Shetty, Akash and another unidentified person abused Adil and said that he drives rashly all the time. They threatened to kill him. Other people present near the spot managed to pacify the accused. Preetham Shetty further called Harshith. Both Preetham and Harshith are responsible for the friction. Adil and his Ummer Farukh are admitted to a private hospital as inpatients.

Surathkal police are investigating further.

    They are peaceful only when in minority. If not God save the place. Every European country is now facing the wrath , after immigration ,. They come as refugess, plead for citizenship , and then expect the host country to change to their whims and fancies. Thats were all the problem starts!

    What? a Bike guy hits the car intentionally, then falls of intentionally, then manage to get up and catch the terroirsing car driver and even threatens him.?. And the car driver is so poor and weak, he has to call all his chelas and made murderous attempt on the bike guy?.. So, who is telling lies isn't so evident?.     Much ado about nothing.... Commonest place where we loose patience on a stranger is on roads... Little understanding and forgiveness will save a lot of time and hassles.... Both must thank God that there are no major damages or injuries... No one is big or small in this world... Unfortunately we come with differently blessed privileges... At least the elderly father of the car driver should have shown better wisdom n compassion at the heat of the moment....
