Our government have no guts to take over the private buses in Mangalore because strong lobby of bus owners.Government will take immediate action on weaker sections. So innocent people is suffering. Private bus drivers taking their buses without adhering the traffic rules, and R.T.O police fail to take strict action.

Sad, Young life lost. Only way to stop private bus lobby is, all the people should buy low cost vehicles & travel all by themselves. This will make private buses stop plying on the road. Don't expect government will introduce government buses, they will introduce government buses under pressure for name sake & stop them by saying loss in the route. That logic doesn't apply to private buses. Local buses are owned by people who control the politicians, government. Private buses competing each other to have maximum collection & end of the day they only think about their share, not even least bothered about the safety of people on board & people on the road. Please don't argue by saying local buses are like this & that. A big city like Bangalore can be well managed by BMTC & KSRTC, why not the coastal districts? Why not invest tax payer money for the convienience of Coastal people? Frankly speaking Coastal people are paying highest tax to the state and cost of living is also the highest in the state.

Kiran D souza Bangalore, well ,you are saying all people should buy low cost vehicles and travel. Not all are in a position to buy even low cost vehicles .and most important ,when all people start to drive /travel with vehicles ,can you tell me what for a chaos on the road will be ?Our roads are not even meant for two vehicles side by side .Very narrow roads ,and big buses ,lorries and rickshaws let alone bikes.Better go walking than by vehicles on these chaotic roads.

Scooter is a very risky vehicle to ply in highways .... Even if one is forced to travel he has to ride on the slow lane and preferably during day time... Buses and tippers are most dangerous to such vehicles as judgement at high speeds becomes difficult as invariably drivers are throttle happy.... Unfortunate end to a prospective wedded life.... RIP to the departed soul....

Private City Buses as well as Private Service Buses in Mangalore / SK are driven very rashly, the drivers are maniacs, their only aim is to maximise collection. Stringent punishment required and the Bus owner / politician / RTO / police connivance needs probing, of course again a exercise in futility as the nexus is known to all.
