Exemplary communal harmony – Muslim youths perform final rites of Hindu woman

Daijiworld Media Network – Chamarajanagar (MS)

Chamarajanagar, Feb 15: Many incidents of disturbing communal harmony take place every now and then. However, as an exception, an exemplary act of communal harmony was seen at Ahmed Nagar of Chamarajanagar. The Muslim youths performed the final rites of an elderly Hindu woman as none of her relatives or other community members of the area came forward to conduct her funeral.

The deceased Nanjamma was married to a man of another caste. So all her relatives were keeping a distance from her. Her husband had passed away many years ago. She was living in Ahmed Nagar along with her daughter in a rented house.

Except Nanjamma’s grand daughter’s husband, none of the other relatives joined hands to perform her final rites.

The Muslim youths of the locality who came to know of the issue, went to the market and brought all the things needed to hold the final rites of Nanjamma as per Hindu tradition and conducted her funeral. Earlier, when Nanjamma was ill, these youths used to help her financially.

This was done in abundance during covid outbreak also without caring about their own life. Unfortunately, we Indians have very short memory, as we forget all good deeds when the selfish politicians play the divide and rule game.

The ultimate responsibility lies on the govt to perform last rites of any human being with dignity and respect if the deceased person is an orphan or abandoned. If such incidents occur people should inform the local MLAs to do the rest in turn police will be informed to perform last rites.

Communal harmony in the lines of OM and ALLAH are same. Hereafter inscription of OM will be included alongwith ALLAH in all the mosques as Jamat-e-Ulema Hind's Chief Arshad Madani's statement should be followed by all muslim brethren. We showed to the world our bhai-chara among all religion people.

Our government is busy in checking conversion moral policing cow etc. Where are those who boasting our country is Hindu. God doesn't like it building temples. He likes this type of noble deed. If you are a true Hindu show compassion towards your own community
