Udupi’s Ayush Regan Menezes bags first prize in Geeta Gayana state level singing competition

Udupi, Feb 18: Bharath Scouts and Guides Karnataka held ‘Geeta Gayana’, a state level singing competitions at Bengaluru. Ayush Regan Menezes from Shankarapura Kaup bagged the first prize in the competitions.

Twenty candidates from the district had taken part in the competitions. Ayush Regan Menezes won the first prize in the cubs division. P G R Sindhya presented the prize and congratulated him.

Ayush had competed in the Kaup taluk and Udupi district level singing competitions and won first prizes to be eligible for state level competitions.

Nine-year-old Ayush Regan is the son of Alwyn Menezes and Sunita Menezes and a student of class 4 at St John’s Academy, Shankarapura.

He had received training for singing from Oliver Rebello. He had also received first prize in the Udupi Catholic diocese level children’s singing competitions and second prize in the singing competitions held by Konkani Natak Sabha, Mangaluru. He has also participated in several other singing competitions and has received praises for his singing talent.
