Kundapur, Mar 25: A new statue of Lal Bahadur Shastri was unveiled at the renovated Shastri circle by Kundapur municipal council president Veena Bhasker on March 25.

Vice president Sandeep Kharvi, senior member Mohandas Shenoy, Devaki Sannayya, Kundapur municipal council former chief executive Gopalakrishna Shetty and municipal council members were present.

Municipal council chief executive Manjunath welcomed. Professor Akshay Hegde compered the programme. The new statue was donated by Charmakki Narayana Shetty trust.
