Mangaluru: Pt Taranath Rao Hattiyangadi’s portrait unveiled at World Konkani Centre

Mangaluru Apr 1: The portrait of renowned tabla and pakhavaj maestro and guru of Hindustani music Pt Taranath Rao Hattiyangadi was unveiled by table maestro and disciple of Pt Taranath Rao Hattiyangadi, Pt Omkar Gulvady here at the World Konkani hall of fame, World Konkani Centre (WKC) on Saturday April 1.

Meanwhile, in the memory of Pt Taranath Rao Hattiyangadi, a Hindustani music recital was organised in association with Kala Coast by renowned Hindustani musicians, tabla maestro Pt Omkar Gulvady, harmonium exponent Sudhir Nayak and Hindustani flute exponent Sudhir Bhakta.

President of World Konkani Centre Nandagopal Shenoy, CEO World Konkani Centre Gurudutt Bantwalkar, sitarist Ustad Rafique Khan and others were present.
