Mangaluru, Apr 11: St Sebastian Church Bendur organized 'EASTER FUN 2023', a fancy fete and food fest event in aid of Padua Educational Institutions at the church premises on April 9.
The fun-filled event consisted of games, entertainment and a food fiesta. It was inaugurated by the parish priest Fr Vincent Monteiro.
The event included a number of games, a variety of food and beverages, DJ Songs by DJ Allan, and a musical night by Claud D'Souza and Team, Bendur.
A number of delicious dishes prepared by the parish food team - all fresh and hot – chicken lollipop, chicken kebab, chicken biryani, pizzas, raja mix, diet salad, pork chilly, chicken sandwich, and noodles, along with watermelon juice, sugarcane juice and lime soda were on offer during the weekend event.
The youngsters enthralled the audience with some wonderful performances. There were some lovely numbers sung by the members of the Bendur Youth Choir, a magic show by the smart and talented Joshua Mascarenhas, and the members of YCS, CAL, and students of Padua College entertained the crowd with their dance moves.
The response from the parishioners and the public was overwhelming.
The main sponsor of the programme Michael D'Souza, NRI philanthropist Dubai, venue sponsor John Errol Samuel, Aquamater Laboratories, and other sponsors were felicitated on stage by the parish priest Fr Vincent Monteiro and principal of Padua College Fr Arun Wilson Lobo during the programme.
Fr Vincent Monteiro thanked all the sponsors who supported the cause with monetary and other types of support. He also thanked all the Bendur parishioners and the staff and students of Padua Institutions who worked tirelessly for many days to ensure the success of the event.
