Udupi: Violation of model code of conduct – MLA’s name still on project boards

Udupi, Apr 11: Though two weeks have elapsed after the model code of conduct was implemented, in some places the photographs of political leaders are not covered with cloth or applied with black ink.

Photos of political leaders and writings related to election propaganda are still displayed on the wall of a shop that is on the main road of Petri at Kunjalu under the limits of Aroor gram panchayat. Just beside it, on the road that goes to Adneelu Laxmi Handti Mane from Kunjalu main road, a board giving details of the concretization of the road has the name of MLA Raghupati Bhat on it. It is neither hidden nor blackened.

Under Chantaru gram panchayat limits, the name of MLA Raghupati Bhat is displayed on the board which says pipeline repair work of Chantaru drinking water project. The concerned officers have not got the same covered so far.

These instances are clear violation of code of conduct of election and the concerned officers need to pay their attention and get the same removed.

    No where in the world politician names on the construction site. Most of the countries display construction company name and contact details so that you can contact them if any inconvenience due to construction. This is nothing but fooling the educated people of DK after all its tax payers money. Not politician money to advertise.

    as far as the name belongs to some blue j pig mla it does not matter to the admin....congress means problem
