Kasargod: Two children meet watery grave in Adoor lake

Kasargod, Apr 11: In a tragic incident, two children drowned and died at Adoor Lake.

The deceased children were Mohammed Ashik (3.5), son of Devaradka resident Shafi, and Mohammed Fasil (3), son of Hassainar.

The incident occurred this afternoon when the children had gone down to the water for a bath at Adoor Devardka, Tapaswini Lake.

Other children who witnessed the incident immediately alerted the locals. Residents rushed to the scene, lifted the children, and admitted them to Mulleria Hospital. However, their lives could not be saved.

The mortal remains of the two children are now kept at Kasargod General Hospital morgue.

Adoor station police are taking further action.

    Just few days are more and we get to listen such tragedies of school children drowning/accidents. Dear parents, please arise and keep check on your offsprings. Once lost, will not bring back to life again. May the departed souls of these cute angels rest in peace...

    May God give the streath and courage to the parents and family members to bear this loss...Such precious life is lost.So small kids...It is the responsibility of every parent to take care of kids during holidays..Rip.
