Mangaluru: MLA Umanath Kotian moves court seeking injunction against media houses

Mangaluru, Apr 11: The First Additional Civil Judge and JMFC Mangaluru passed an intermin order imposing a temporary injunction against media houses restraining them from disseminating any kind of information, publishing, or passing defamatory statements, photos, pictures, or articles which tends damage to the reputation of MLA Umanath A Kotian.


It is said that the MLA obtained an injunction as a precaution to prevent the publishing or telecast of unverified reports.

The order was passed by the court on Monday, April 10.

It is said that a few MLAs in the district are likely to move the court seeking injunction.
