Mangaluru, Apr 15: Sleuths of the Income Tax department raided Congress leader and entrepreneur Vivek Raj Poojary's house and office on Saturday April 15.
A team of eight officials of the I-T department arrived in two cars at Vivek Raj Poojary's house and his office and conducted raids at the same time.
Poojary is also the election in-charge of Congress party for Chikkamagaluru.
Reacting to the development, he said, "Against the backdrop of the forthcoming elections and my position as the party in-charge for Chikkamagaluru the I-T raids have been conducted. All my records are intact and I have not indulged in making misappropriation or cheating. The raids have been conducted with a malafide intention."
