Mangaluru, Apr 20: The fifth annual convocation day of Srinivas University was held at its Mukka campus on Thursday April 20.
As many as 1,050 students graduated during the event.
Sri Sri Vidya Prasanna Theertha swamiji blessed the graduates.
Addressing the gathering, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences vice-chancellor Dr MK Ramesh said, “I congratulate CA Raghavendra Rao who ventured into the education field from CA. It is important for the students to know what they are going to do next. Change is the only constant thing. I urge students to get updated with technical know-how to take the best advantage of technology.”
In his presidential address, Srinivas University chancellor Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao said, "Sri Sri Vidya Prasanna Theertha swamiji and M S Mahabaleshwara Rao have contributed immensely to the society through their respective professions. I expect from the students to have a high goal and try to achieve it. Keep visiting your alma mater which has shaped up your career.”
Former managing director of Karnataka Bank M S Mahabaleshwara Rao said, “Passion towards profession is the greatest gratitude students can deliver to their university.”
Srinivas University vice-chancellor Dr P S Aithal presented the annual report.
The oath was administered by Srinivas University board of governors trustee Prof A Mithra S Rao.
Srinivas University pro-chancellor Dr A Srinivas Rao welcomed the gathering. Dr Ambika Mallya, Dr Vijayalakshmi Nayak, Dr Padmavathi Prabhu and Prof Rohan Fernandes compered the event and registrar Dr Anil Kumar rendered vote of thanks.
Srinivas University board of governors trustee A Vijayalakshmi Rao, Srinivas University board of governor trustee member Padmini Kumar, registrar (evaluation) Dr Shrinivas Mayya, registrar (development) Dr Ajay Kumar, registrar (academic) Adithya Kumar Maiya, registrar Dr Anil Kumar and others were present.
