Dhaka, Jul 6 (IANS): Indian External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna arrives in Bangladesh Wednesday on a three-day trip that is "expected to infuse fresh dynamism into the continuously evolving excellent relationship between the two countries".

Krishna's visit comes ahead of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's upcoming Sep 6-7 trip to the country.

Daily Star said that Dhaka and New Delhi have given high importance to the visit as the two countries are expected to reach a consensus on a number of issues.

According to a foreign ministry statement, Foreign Minister Dipu Moni and her Indian counterpart are on July 7 expected to discuss the entire range of bilateral issues, including cooperation in trade, connectivity, water resources management, power, land boundary demarcation, border management, security, education, and people-to-people contact.

The implementation of the decisions taken during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's January 2010 visit to India will also be discussed.

"The visit is expected to infuse fresh dynamism into the continuously evolving excellent relationship between the two countries," the statement said.

Diplomatic sources cited by the daily said that Dhaka and New Delhi would sign several bilateral documents after official talks between the two foreign ministers.
