New Delhi, Jul 7: The Congress Core Committee which includes the Prime Minister and Sonia Gandhi had met on Wednesday July 6 to exchange views on the Telangana crisis. The discussion will be continued at the Union Cabinet meet on Thursday July 7.

Normal life at the Telangan region had been crippled for the last couple of days due to a bandh called by Telangan activists.

Teargas shells rained at the Osmanian University in Hyderabad that became the main staging ground for the protest underlining the political mess that Andhra Pradesh is confronting.

Over 100 MLA's from different parties in Andhra Pradesh have submitted their resignations in demand for a different state of Telangana.

However, Home Minister Chidambaram said that the resignations have not yet provoked a debate on whether President's rule should be considered for Andhra Pradesh.

Students plan to conduct rallies and rail blockades on Friday July 8 and Saturday July 9 following the bandh called by the Telangana Joint Committee.

The govt should wake up and find the solution for Telangana issue. It should respect the sentiments and self respect of 4.5 crore people of this region. The Indian govt should start consultations with leaders of other regions and offer a suitable package for building new capital city. This would actually create more jobs for andhra region and facilitates to concentrate more on development of this region. This will solve the problems of both regions. The Andhra leaders should give up their vested interests and come forward for the negotiations for the well being of both the regions
