Mangaluru: Accused held for avoiding court trial, remanded to judicial custody

Mangaluru, Apr 26: An undertrial accused was arrested by the Mangaluru North police for failing to appear in a court for the hearing after the person had obtained bail in a related case.

Sumaan alias K Numanulla Beeran, a resident of Kannur Dayambu Balluru Gudde House, is the accused who has been arrested by the police.

Mangaluru North Police station inspector along with other personnel in an operation took Sumaan into custody and produced him to a court, which remanded him to judicial custody.

The accused has in all 11 cases registered against his name in Mangaluru North, Rural, East, South, Moodbidri, Bantwal and Punjalkatte stations.
