Mangaluru, Apr 28: The 143rd annual day of St Aloysius College – 'Desi Sambrama' was celebrated at the college grounds on Friday, April 28.

Addressing the gathering, chairman, TransUnion, CIBIL and KFintech Eminent Aloysian awardee, M V Nair said, "In this group all of us are representing India, and you all as a youth have the responsibility of dreaming high to reach your goals. And I have complete hope that all Aloysian youths will reach great heights. In the next 10 years, 100 million youths will be joining the job market. Every enterprise has to be greatly employed or else it will be demographic latent. If a youth has to achieve his career whole world is important. I would expect Aloysians to make their first move to reach the top. The world is wide open to pursue your ambition. If 50% of the population is not productive, the economy can't grow. It’s important for all women to be equal participants in the economic activity and also be a leader."

Rector of St Aloysius Institution, Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto in his presidential remarks said, "Education is important. M V Nair has already guided us on how to lead our lives. Education itself is life. 'Desi Sambrama' is where we belong to, we shouldn't forget our roots. When you are ready to do good for your society you are eligible to call yourself an Aloysian. We need to look beyond the horizons. When you are leaving this college carry the sentiments along you with values you imbibed from the college."
