Udupi, Apr 29: “Our party has decided to face the elections of this time by keeping development as our agenda. The double engine government should get priority,” said union minister Shobha Karandlaje on Saturday April 29.

She further said, “The local governments of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Rajasthan, where BJP government is not there are not working in the same pace as the BJP. In 2018, Modi brought Kisan Samman scheme. In Karnataka, the coalition government of JD (S) and Congress was in power. They submitted only four list of farmers to the union government. Today, 54 lac farmers of Karnataka are receiving money.

“Four new faces have got ticket in Udupi district this election. Our workers are working at booth level to make sure that five out of five seats to be won by BJP.

“The Congress has no agenda. They cannot ask vote in the name of development. Kharge’s speech has brought headache to everyone. This is the statement of Congress party.

“Yatnal’s statement of calling Sonia Gandhi as poison lady is not right. He might have spoken in an emotional manner. We will speak to Yatnal. The BJP culture is not of using bad words.

“The BJP always gives details of sensitive booths to the election commission in every election. In areas like Ullal and Shivaji Nagar there are only 10 Hindu houses. Hence, the other minorities will not allow them to come out of the house for voting. The EC will depute CRPF and paramilitary forces.

“There is no delay in kerosene to the fishermen. We release the stock as required from time to time. In the last eight to 10 months, we have released kerosene thrice to traditional fishermen.

“The BJP party workers are working hard in Puttur. They will make sure that the party candidate wins though Arun Puttila is contesting as rebel candidate,” she said.

MLA Raghupati Bhat, candidate Yashpal Suvarna, Kutyaru Naveen Shetty, Mahesh Takur, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde and Kuyiladi Suresh Nayak were present.
