Kundapur: Over speeding car hits bicycle, rider killed on spot

Kundapur, Apr 30: A rider was killed on the spot after a car hit his bicycle here on Saturday in the afternoon in front of Divine Park Saligrama on NH 66.

The deceased is identified as Keshava Marakala (41), a resident of Gundmi Bhagavathi Road.

The driver who was driving the car recklessly from Udupi to Kundapur, lost control of his vehicle and hit the cyclist from behind. The car also toppled after the accident.

While the cycle rider died on the spot, car driver escaped with minor injuries.

It is said that negligence of the car driver is the cause of the accident.
