Beltangady: Rowdy sheeter arrested for transporting ganja

Beltangady, May 1: The Beltangady police arrested Prasad alias Pacchu, a resident of Savanoor Hidyadi in the Kadaba taluk, for allegedly transporting ganja on a two-wheeler.

A team led by CI Shivakumar was conducting vehicle checks near Handevu Mooru Marga in Bajire village when they stopped the accused's two-wheeler and searched it.

The search led to the discovery of 500 grams of ganja, worth Rs 37,000 in the market. The accused, who is a known rowdy sheeter, already has 13 cases filed against him in Puttur, Kadaba, and Uppinangady police stations.
