Mangaluru May 5: A two-day long CRIFO – 2k23 a national level conference on the theme ‘Forensic Advent: A Futuristic Vision of Forensic Science' was inaugurated on Friday, May 5 at School of Social work Roshini Nilaya.
The national level conference is organized by Post Graduate department of Criminology and Forensic Science and Internal Quality Assurance Cell, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru in collaboration with Virtual Project Security Private Limited and Covert Security India LLP, Bengaluru.
First additional district and sessions judge Dakshina Kannada district, Mallikarjuna Swamy HS said, "The two conference will instill confidence and awareness who are pursuing forensic. The case of Nirbhaya entirely revolved around forensic science and based on the DNA profiling.
Vice principal School of social work Roshini Nilaya, Dr Jennis Mary said, "The conference will enlighten knowledge and skill to the participants in the two days of national conference.

The formal function was followed by address of resource person during the two-days National Conference on the relevant topics such as Dr Mahabalesh Shetty on ‘Forensics in Crime Scene’, Akhil Benny on the Future of Ballistics: New Technology and Research Directions, Dr Vina Vaswani, Forensic Medicine: Opportunities and Challenges, Titiksha Desai Kamble on Future Trends in Forensic Document Examination, Sai Krishna on Security and Investigations: A career in Corporate Security, Rajalakshmi Kowshik on Forensic Psychology: An Insight into Current Status and Future Scope.
Assistant professor Roshan D Souza welcomed the gathering, assistant professor Amritha G Shetty proposed vote of thanks and Nashwa compered the event.
