Adding to the results of the utterly foolish decision of diverting the natural flow of Netravati, which has throttled the supply of clean water to Mangalore, the drastic climate change and El Nino effect will, undeniably, worsen the water woes of DK in the coming years!! Idiotic idea of drilling more and more borewells will be highly counterproductive in the long run!! Also, on what basis are huge concrete structures coming up when already there is an acute shortage of potable WATER??

All the colleges and educational institutions should plan to finish their exams by mid-May to avoid the scorching heat and humidity. The issue of water shortage is also another issue that will continue to haunt DK for the years to come. Why can't authorities think prudently and plan ahead instead of bringing up these issues every year ?
