Kundapur: 55-year-old suffers serious injuries in scooter-car collision

Kundapur, May 22: A car collided with a scooter in front of Kuvempu centenary government higher primary school on NH 66 at Thekkatte on Sunday May 21 in which the rider of two wheeler was seriously injured.

The car was moving at high speed towards Kerala as the devotees were returning after visiting Kollur temple. The driver of the car first hit the scooter and then crashed onto the roadside tree.

Amar Shetty (55), the rider of the scooter, received serious injuries on his legs and was admitted to a private hospital.

The scooter was badly damaged in the incident. The front portion of the car was also damaged in the accident. High speed and negligence of the car driver is said to be the reason for the mishap.

Kota police registered a case and are investigating further.
